Cómo Fué? by Ernesto Duarte Brito
This beloved Cuban bolero is the opening tune of Ese Momento and was arranged for flute quartet, string orchestra, and rhythm section by Sergio Pamies. In this recording, you’ll be listening to the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.
Into the Mist
Early on a Fall Sunday morning, I was driving between Houston and Dallas. The fog was so thick, it wouldn’t allow visibility for more than a few feet. As the sun rose, the mist merged into natures’ green and the dew magically took over. It was a bit of a scary drive, but also an incredible taste of the miracles we can find in nature everyday!
La Dama De La Ciudad
La Dama De La Ciudad by Venezuelan composer Frank Quintero is a story of the platonic love a country boy feels for a city girl. As luck would have it, his love is unreciprocated, the summer comes to an end, and she leaves forever, taking with her the spark of his lonely spirit.
Spy Eyes
I wrote this tune with Tyler Mire for his amazing big band. It was inspired on some episodes of ‘Chuck’. We recorded this tune in Nashville, TN.
Joy to the Other World
There is so much magic in traditional Christmas music! This is a project of curiosity and discovery with my dear friend and always inspiring soul, Giampiero Scuderi. Here, harmony is sometimes less conventional, rhythm is close to my roots, and we also put some meter twists to keep your ears entertained. We deployed from what is expected on a traditional Christmas recording, but got closer to my personal approach to music and life itself.
You’ll listen to gaitas de San Jacinto, zampoñas, quenacho, EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument), and of course the classical alto, bass, and piccolo flutes.
Dedicated to a world that comes together and feels warmer by the grace and divine love of our dear lord, Jesus Christ.
