Tres Palabras

A 12 song set with rhythm section and string orchestra

Release July 26th, 2024

About These Tracks:

These are reference tracks. I am receiving the last percussion and guitar tracks within a week and I’m beginning to track the real/final Flute tracks this week. Once tracking for all songs is finished by March 23, the CD will be mixed by Henrique Vilhena and mastered by Luiz Tornaghi in Brasil.

About Boleros

The Bolero, a Latin American genre, is at the core of the development of music in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Mexico since the late XIX century. This genre combines elegant poetry, mostly around the topic of love, with sophisticated harmonies and orchestrations. The wide influence of the Bolero has given birth to sub-genres such as bolero-son, rhumba (ballroom dancing), bolero-cha, bachata, etc.

This style of music, with origins in Santiago de Cuba by untrained troveros (composer-performers), has enjoyed worldwide popularity thanks to the elevated use of all elements of music: rhythm, harmony, text, and melody. Important artists associated with this genre are Trio Matamoros, Los Panchos, Nat King Cole, Luis Miguel, and Andrea Bocelli.
